Our standard operating hours are 10am-6pm EST. We only request availability for one hour per day to be reachable for immediate questions.

  • US-Based Freelance Graphic Designer / Web Designer

    Experience: 3 year+

    FORMATION. Media is seeking a talented Graphic Designer / Web Designer with WordPress experience to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of graphic design principles, experience with web design, and proficiency in WordPress.

    Our operating hours are 10 am-6 pm EST. We work with freelancers from all over the world, so we do accommodate other time zones. We are fully remote and only require one hour per day for all of us to be available for immediate questions. Though we are highly organized, we are not here to micromanage. However, you will need to use your best judgment for setting your work hours to meet client goals and be communicative with the team when you will not be available. We’re all about work-life balance and empowering our contractors to break free from desk life. In turn, we ask for equal respect when meeting deadlines and delivering quality work.

    As new projects come in, we will give you the details, and you can accept or decline them based on your schedule. Please read our workplace policy for more details. As a contractor, it is your responsibility to deny any project that would put you in violation of the 1099 laws in your state.

    Responsibilities:

    • Design and create graphics, logos, brand guides, ad creative, and visual content for websites, social media, and other marketing materials.

    • Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs for websites.

    • Customize and maintain WordPress websites.

    • Collaborate with teams to create visually appealing and user-friendly websites.

    • Ensure that all design work meets brand guidelines and standards.

    • Stay up-to-date with the latest design and web development trends.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Web Design, or a related field.

    • Proven experience as a Graphic Designer / Web Designer.

    • Strong portfolio showcasing design skills and web design experience.

    • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Adobe XD, etc.) and Figma.

    • Knowledge of HTML/CSS and responsive design.

    • Experience with WordPress theme customization, plugin integration, and page builders such as Elementor or Beaver Builder

    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

  • US-Based Freelance Social Media Manager

    Experience: 2 year+

    We’re seeking a highly motivated and experienced Freelance Social Media Manager to join our team! The Social Media Manager will be responsible for creating and executing social media strategies to increase brand awareness and drive engagement across all social media platforms.

    This role will start with our clients that have the most immediate need for social media posting and community management. You can expect around 12 hours a week (or 50 hours a month), with the potential for more hours depending on our client load. Due to the nature of social media, you may occasionally be required to post on nights and weekends. We limit this as much as possible but given our client base, there may be events or other circumstances that require off hours.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Create and manage content calendars for all social media platforms

    • Create and curate engaging and shareable content, including written, visual, and video elements

    • Monitor and analyze social media metrics and adjust strategy as needed

    • Collaborate with other team members to ensure consistent brand messaging and voice

    • Stay up-to-date on the latest social media trends and technologies

    • Grow, manage and engage with social media community, including responding to comments and messages

    Qualifications:

    • Proven work experience as a Social Media Manager or similar role

    • Strong understanding of social media platforms, their related algorithms, and best practices

    • Experience with social media management and analytics tools

    • Strong written and verbal communication skills

    • Excellent project management and organizational skills

    • The ability to be strategic and consistent

    • Knowledge of SEO and web traffic metrics

    • Bachelor's degree or certifications in Marketing, Communications, or a related field

    US-Based Freelance Data Analyst

    Experience: 3 years+

    This role will start with clients contracted for SEO & Marketing audits, SEO optimization on websites we build, and monthly social media reports. As we onboard more clients, additional projects will become available.

    Tasks needed for the role:

    • SEO Audit of existing websites to determine areas to improve discoverability, functionality and conversion capabilities

    • Marketing audit of client’s digital presence spanning organic and paid social media, SEM, and any additional platforms where they sell or promote their work online

    • Set up and optimization of Google products: Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Google Ad Words, Google Tag Manager, Google My Business Profile

    • Set up and optimization of social media accounts: Facebook Business Manager, Facebook Pixel & Conversion API, Pixel Event Tracking; Bios and Profile Information, LinkinBio/LinkTree, etc.

    • Implementation of SEO best practices on websites designed by us

    • Monthly social media reports to analyze the success of paid ads, content, and growth strategies

    Additional Tasks for the future may include:

    • Audience and hashtag analysis

    • Social media audits & strategy

    • Building dashboards and report templates

  • US-Based Freelance Email & SMS Marketing Specialist

    Experience: 2 year+

    This role comprises designing both individual email & SMS messages and designing and implementing strategic customer journeys through email and SMS.

    Tasks needed for the role:

    • Graphic design for emails

    • Copywriting for emails and subject lines

    • Building and sending emails within the marketing platforms

    • Designing and implementing strategic email sequences and automated flows that offer value and lead to conversions

    • Use data to inform strategy and design

    Additional Tasks for the future may include:

    • A/B testing

    • Contributing to the overall marketing plan with ideas on gaining, retaining and converting leads through email and SMS

    • Designing plans to segment and understand the client audience through email and SMS

  • US-Based Freelance Wordpress Designer

    Experience: 5 year+

    We’re looking for a designer to create 1-page websites, full websites, event landing pages, and website redesigns for our clients looking to provide information on their businesses, generate leads and convert site visitors to customers. All of the sites we build are designed to achieve the specific goals of our clients.

    We primarily work in Wordpress, however in the case of a redesign we may be required to use the platform where the existing site is built. Regardless of where we’re building, it is essential that our website designs bridge the gap between beauty and functionality.

    Tasks needed for the role:

    • UI and UX Wordpress designs focused on driving conversions

    • Create graphics and multimedia elements for the website

    • Use a combination of drag and drop building and custom HTML, CSS and Javascript

    • Familiarity with Beaver Builder or Elementor is a plus!

    There will be other graphic design opportunities available if desired, such as graphics for emails and social media.

  • US Based Freelance Digital Marketing Virtual Assistant Contractor

    Experience: 2 year+

    We're looking for a freelance digital marketing virtual assistant to oversee the delivery of our digital marketing services to our clients and step in to complete the work when needed.

    The DMVA needs to be experienced in the services we offer, including web design, social media, paid ads and email marketing, as well as able to delegate tasks and keep projects on track to meet deadlines. This role reports directly to the CEO and COO.

    Daily tasks include:

    • Act as liaison between the client and the team: delivering projects by deadline, delegating new tasks, reviewing and approving contractor work, attending meetings, following up with clients and strategizing to improve results

    • Manage contractors to ensure deadlines are met, projects are understood, hours are not exceeded and that they have the tools they need

    • Assist with client deliverables across all of our services when needed

    • Admin tasks such as formatting documents, project summaries, mass emails, collecting invoices, etc.

    Experience: 1 year+

    We’re looking for a video editor that specializes in social media content. Video is king on social media, and we want to tell our client’s stories through engaging short-form video across TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts and more.

    The ideal candidate is up-to-date on the common trends across platforms and knows how to optimize video to increase view-through rates.

    Tasks needed for the role:

    • Editing video footage provided by clients

    • Sourcing and editing stock footage

    • Adding transitions, zooms and other effects to make videos visually appealing

    • Adding music and captions

    • Editing colors and clarity

    There will be other video editing opportunities available if desired, such as corporate intro videos, product marketing videos, artist statement videos, etc.
